Case and Dial Design
The table clock is presented in a marine-themed aesthetic, characterized by a mahogany base that the source describes as reminiscent of a ship’s porthole. The primary housing for the clock is a lacquered brass chronometer barrel, which is mounted on a hinged support of the same material. This housing arrangement provides structural depth and integrates the functionality of housing the winding key within the mounting assembly.
The dial is executed in a silver color, featuring suspended luminescent Arabic numerals for the hours. Time is indicated by blued steel skeleton hands. Complications on the dial include a subsidiary seconds register located at the 6 o'clock position and a power reserve sector situated at 12 o'clock, which displays the status of the 8-day mainspring. The assembly is signed on the dial, case, and movement.
