History

One of the oldest continuously operating Geneva houses, the firm worked within the établissage system, buying ébauches and finishing to a high standard, and produced complicated and engraved pocket watches through the nineteenth century.

  • Early adoption of interchangeable-part methods by Georges-Auguste Leschot in Geneva

  • Maltese cross mark in later periods
  • Geneva hallmark on selected watches

Serial numbers

Company archives are used for confirmation; the 1755 founding date is the firm's traditional claim rather than an independently reconstructed record.
