Case and Dial Design
The Cedric Johner 'Abyss' Heure Sautante is defined by its tonneau-shaped case, which features both polished and brushed surfaces. The case construction is described as two-body, with an embossed hexagonal back that is secured by four screws. Complementing the unusual case geometry is a hexagonal sapphire crystal.
The white enamel dial exhibits a radial arrangement of graduated Arabic numerals painted in black, indicating five-minute intervals. The display is notably off-center, with a jump-hour aperture situated at the 12 o'clock position. A subsidiary dial provides the seconds, which are indicated by a black 'feuille' hand.
