Staking set

A boxed set of interchangeable stakes and punches used with a small anvil to fit and remove parts under controlled pressure.

Explanation

A staking set is a boxed kit of stakes and punches used with a small anvil to press jewels, fit staffs, close hands and rivet small parts. Classic sets such as K&D or Boley contain dozens of stakes and are still the versatile solution for fitting work. Using the wrong stake marks parts, so selection and alignment matter.
