Rotor

The oscillating weight of an automatic movement that rewinds the mainspring via a reduction and reversing gear train.

Explanation

Full rotors sweep the entire movement and maximise winding efficiency; micro-rotors are set into the plane of the movement to allow a thinner watch at some cost to winding efficiency.
