Pin-pallet escapement

A lever escapement variant using steel pins in place of jewelled pallet stones.

Explanation

Cheaper and quicker to manufacture than a jewelled club-tooth lever, the pin-pallet (or 'pin lever') escapement was widely used in inexpensive pocket and wrist watches, notably by Roskopf-derived makers, trading efficiency for low cost.
