Micro-rotor
A miniature winding rotor set into the plane of the movement rather than above it.
Explanation
A micro-rotor is a small automatic winding rotor sunk into the movement's plane rather than spanning it above the bridges, keeping the calibre thin and the movement visible. Used by Piaget, Universal Genève and Patek Philippe (calibre 240) among others, it winds less mass per swing and so depends on efficient gearing.
