Côtes de Genève

Parallel striped decoration applied to bridges and plates in Swiss practice.

Explanation

A hand- or machine-applied stripe finish, usually running across bridges. Like all decoration, it tells you about the grade and origin of the work but nothing on its own about authenticity.
