Display activation

The action or condition required to make a watch indication visible.

Explanation

An early LED watch can need a button press before showing the time. The Pulsar museum account explicitly describes a display that switches off after a few seconds to save power. Activation behaviour must be documented from the correct model reference, not assumed from a black window. A missing indication could have several causes, and a still photograph cannot decide among them. Avoid powering fragile, unassessed electronics for identification; ask a specialist and retain condition uncertainty.
