Click spring
The small leaf spring that presses a click into engagement with its ratchet wheel.
Explanation
The click spring is the small leaf or wire spring that presses the click into the ratchet wheel's teeth. If it weakens or breaks, the click can lift and let the mainspring unwind suddenly through the winding work — a sharp bang that can damage the train.
