Case and Aesthetic Design
The Hermle Biltmore is constructed with a focus on traditional woodwork, finished in walnut. The exterior features decorative inlay work, which is positioned prominently on the hood and the base of the clock. The structural design incorporates transparent glass panes on the front door and the sides of the waist section, allowing for visibility of the internal components, including the pendulum and chime tubes.
Architectural details include turned pillars that support the hood section. The hardware and structural connectors are finished in brass, complementing the wood tones. The overall proportions of the case are defined as 81 inches in height by 24 inches in width and 14 inches in depth, providing a stable footprint for the standing clock assembly.
