Often called the father of English clockmaking, Tompion's workshop produced numbered clocks and watches of exceptional quality, collaborating with Robert Hooke and George Graham on escapement and balance-spring work.

Serial numbers

Essentially a museum-level field. Signed movements without provenance should be treated with caution.
