Private label (private brand)

A watch sold under a retailer's or distributor's name rather than the actual manufacturer's.

Explanation

Extremely common in both American and Swiss trade watches, private labelling means a dial or case signature frequently identifies a seller rather than the party responsible for the movement's design.
