Montgomery dial

A minute-marked dial numbered for every minute, associated with American railroad use.

Explanation

Named after the railroad time inspector Henry S. Montgomery, the layout numbers all sixty minutes — with the 6 conventionally inside the seconds sub-dial — to make misreading harder. Its presence supports, but does not prove, railroad service.
