Marriage (married watch)
A watch assembled from a case and movement that did not originally belong together.
Explanation
A marriage is a watch whose case and movement did not start life together. Some marriages are innocent — American movements were routinely recased — while others are assembled to imitate something more valuable. Tell-tale signs include extra case screw marks, dial feet not matching the movement, and style or date mismatches between case and movement.
