Loupe
A monocular magnifying eyeglass used by watchmakers, held in the eye socket to leave both hands free.
Explanation
A loupe is the watchmaker's monocular magnifier, held in the eye socket to leave both hands free. Common magnifications are 4x to 10x; higher powers have shorter working distances. For collectors, a 10x loupe is the basic tool for examining dials, hallmarks and movement finish.
