Fob
A short ribbon or chain, or the ornament hung from it, carrying a watch in the pocket.
Explanation
A fob is the short chain, ribbon or strap attached to a pocket watch, or the ornamental seal or medal hung from it. Albert chains (with a T-bar for the buttonhole) and double Alberts (with a fob at the other end) are the classic Victorian forms. Fobs and chains are collected in their own right and complete the period presentation of a watch.
