Dial train
Collective term for the motion works and any dial-side complications geared from it.
Explanation
The dial train is another name for the motion works — the wheels behind the dial that drive the hour hand from the minute hand. The term is also used for the extra wheels driving calendar, moonphase or other dial indications. Faults here show as hands that slip, calendars that do not advance, or setting that feels wrong.
