Object description

Construction and Design

The sculptural table clock is modeled after the bipedal skeleton of a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Its structural proportions are based on 3D scans of fossilized bone and are rendered in stainless steel, palladium-plated brass, and bronze. The surfaces feature alternating sandblasted and polished finishes.

A central gimbal-supported dial made of hand-blown Murano glass is positioned above the legs. The glass is blue in color and features two arched steel hands used to indicate the hours and minutes.

Mechanism and Operation

The clock utilizes the manual-winding calibre 1855, which contains 17 jewels. It operates at a frequency of 18,000 vph and provides an 8-day power reserve.

The provided winding key is required to wind the movement via the barrel axis located at the rear of the clock. This same key is used for setting the time on the dial.
