  • Four women are perched on stools in a row at their benches in front of a window. Deeply involved in various operations, they are working by the light of lamps with green conical shades at benches fitted with leather recuperation pouches.
  • The painter has captured the rigour and movements of the work through a linear composition cleverly broken up by the folds of the workers' clothes and the different positions of their feet.
