VerifiedThe case-back, surrounded by half-pearls, is decorated with an enamel painting of a detail from a work by Marguerite Gérard, The Present, in the Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg, engraved by G. Vidal. The caseband, bezel and pendant are covered with blue enamel, which is encrusted with translucent red and black enamel pastilles.

Historical significance
- The case-back, surrounded by half-pearls, is decorated with an enamel painting of a detail from a work by Marguerite Gérard, The Present, in the Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg, engraved by G. Vidal. The caseband, bezel and pendant are covered with blue enamel, which is encrusted with translucent red and black enamel pastilles.
- The slightly cambered white enamel dial has two blued steel Breguet hands and a centre seconds hand.
- The movement has hour and quarter repeating and a cylinder escapement. Characteristic of watches for the Chinese market, the bridges and barrel are engraved in copperplate scrolls and leaves.
