  • The case is polished gold.
  • The white enamel dial comprises three parts: the exterior ring with painted hours and minutes, a small seconds dial and a central disc.
  • The minute-repeating movement sounds the hours, the Westminster quarters (different for each quarter) followed by the minutes.
  • There are several other extant carillon watches made by JeanRichard. The Watch Museum in Le Locle, for example, has one that plays the popular Swiss melody, le Ranz des Vaches. The “Revue internationale d’horlogerie” for 1924 mentions a repeating watch with carillon on seven gongs that played the old Swiss national anthem.
