Historical significance
- Dust cap in silver and engraved ‘François Dominicè 731’. Double case in cast and chased silver.
- The inner and outer cases, both in silver, are pierced and engraved with scrolls. The dust cap is also silver. Two gilded brass hands indicate the hours and minutes on a white enamel dial painted with black Roman numerals.
- The gilded brass movement, signed: F. DOMINICE A GENEVE, fitted with a verge escapement, has an hour and quarter repeating, on a bell or "dumb". The single-footed balance cock, in the English style, has a facetted ruby endstone.
