Historical significance
- The case-back features an engraved decoration set off by black enamel fillets. In the centre, the enameller has painted an odalisk lying on a couch, with her dog and a bouquet of flowers.
- The white enamel dial has finely enamelled black Roman numerals and two Breguet hands.
- The movement plate, which also serves as a dome, is engraved with flowers and scrolls. It bears the inscription Robert Brandt & Cie, n°24'947. Echappement à cylindre six trous en rubis (Cylinder escapement, six pierced rubies). It has an ultra-thin inverted movement, the “Bagnolet” construction, with the dial placed on the train side. The train turns in the opposite sense.
