Historical significance
- The back and cover of the gold hunter case are engraved with leaves and scrolls.
- The silver dial has black painted Roman numerals for the hours and gold Breguet hands.
- The movement has a cylinder escapement and is also engraved. The bridges and barrel cover are decorated with scrolls and leaves in contrast with the plate, which is covered with a chequered design.
- Characteristic of the work of mid-19th century Neuchâtel engravers, the decoration on the watch case mixes classical elements and foliage on the same ground. The engraving of the movement is similar to that of watches made for the Far East.
