Historical significance
- A reproduction of Antoine Watteau's "The Lesson of Love" (in Stockholm, Nationalmuseum), engraved by Dupuis in 1734, is painted in enamel on the case-back. The counter-enamel is decorated with a figure of a dog.
- The outer case in gilt brass is covered with tortoiseshell.
- The white enamel dial is painted with both Roman and Arabic numerals.
- The movement is fitted with a verge escapement and an engraved silver regulating rosette. The balance cock, surmounted by a polished steel endpiece, is pierced and engraved with scrolls and geometrical motifs.
