Unidirectional rotating bezel
A dive-watch bezel that rotates in one direction only, so accidental knocks shorten rather than lengthen an indicated elapsed dive time.
Explanation
A unidirectional bezel turns only anticlockwise, typically on diving watches. It is used to mark the start of an interval against the minute hand; if bumped accidentally, it can only shorten the indicated remaining time, not lengthen it, which is the safety reason for the design.
