History
Louis-Ulysse Chopard established his manufacturing company in Sonvilier in 1860, initially focusing on pocket watches and precision chronometers.
After moving operations to Geneva in 1937, the firm was eventually sold in 1963 by Paul-André Chopard to the German goldsmith and watchmaker Karl Scheufele III. Under the new ownership, the company expanded its repertoire to include luxury jewelry and sports watches. The company established its own dedicated watch movement manufacturing facility in Fleurier in 1996.
